| About Denise Clason |
| Denise Clason is a life-long artist. From her early youth, she aspired to be a fashion designer. By the time she was a teen she had her own sewing and alterations business, selling her designs and patterns the right career path! Denise’s university studies focused on art, fashion design and textiles. Her experience in flat pattern design & illustration has grown as she has advanced her career in the craft, home décor, quilting and sewing industries. She is well known for her ability to capture balance and color in her illustrative works and product design. Having been a leading manager in a West Coast-based fabric chain, Denise was recognized for her organization, leadership, and merchandizing skills. She enjoys leading classes through local and national organizations of which she is a member. Some of her favorite subjects are decorative painting, quilting, sewing, clothing alteration, and cooking. Denise’s line of Stitchin’ Up the Pieces quilt and fruit buttons (Licensed by JHB) have been recognized among the most innovative designs in the quilt & sewing industry. Denise’s “on-trend” 128 page book Quilted Bags and Totes (2006) is the latest in a long line of admired works; New Country Quilting (2005,128 pgs), projects in a number of multi-artist books, six soft-craft booklets, and designs which can be found, regularly, in many national magazines. Denise Clason now works and designs product for manufacturers, as well as demonstrates their products at trade and consumer shows. |
