Hi everyone,
The radio interview went very well! Tiffany Windsor made me feel so comfortable and relaxed! The whole group was so nice! Tiffany, her sisters, Heidi and Candice and her mother, Aleene Jackson. She was a hoot! Check out Tiffany Windsor’s website and view the history of their crafty family! (Just click on the links on the page to view the history.) It is very interesting how Aleene made it in television when it was just getting started….talk about Art Linkletter, etc.!
If you want to listen to the radio interview, go to Inspired at Home. or if you want to listen to only the clip of my interview, go to Denise Clason clip.
This is a really fun radio show! Learn all about how to create things for your home, etc. I have a few friends who will be interviewed on the show. Listen for Brenda Pinnick and Ketra Oberlander on July 19th! You’ll really enjoy these women!
Brenda has a new line of fabric licensed by Henry Glass & Co. Check it out! I’ll be making a bag out of it soon! Keep your eyes open!

Aren’t they beautiful!!!
have a great day! Denise
Hi everyone,
Tiffany Windsor will be interviewing me on her Blog Radio Show, called, “Inspired at Home.” The topic will be on how I get my designs published in magazines. If you want to learn how to do that yourself, set up a reminder for your email by clicking on the link, above! Be sure to join us on the call!

Note: Be sure that you set your reminder earlier enough for your time zone! if you are PT, you’ll need to set it at least 3 1/2 hours ahead to get the email in time!
I look forward to having you there!
Denise
Hi Everyone,
Here is another one of my designs, featured in the Create & Decorate magazine August 2009 issue. It is made from Plaid’s Gallery Glass product. There is no cutting of glass, it is applied like glue and dries to look like stain glass! It is so easy that you can’t stop creating projects! Here is the magazine photo!

This is one of my favorite designs using Gallery Glass. Look for other projects, coming soon!

Hi Everyone!
I’ve been waiting to share my magazine projects with you. The pillows, below, are on the store shelves, NOW! You can find the following design in Crafts’n Things August 2009 issue!

I used some time saving steps by using Fabric Tac by Beacon(r) Adhesives. Just love their glues! The beaded trim on the pink pillow is from Expo International. They have the most beautiful trims and cording around!
The trims and lace were from my stash! And believe it or not, the rose fabric and purple velvet were from a second hand store! It’s amazing what scraps can produce. These turned out beautiful!
Go and buy your copy, today!

Hi Everyone!
I just got back from delivering 116 various stuffed animals to the Las Vegas Police Department. They were so grateful for people who bring in items like this to help children in time of crises. I collected these animals from about 40 different families in my religious organization!
(I got the idea to do this after seeing my own daughter’s response when she received a stuffed bear, at the time of a crisis. Our son, her 3 year old brother was having a seizure and the parametics, fire department, and police showed up at our home…it was a sight to see from across the street. And very scary for her, at the time she was only 5 years old.)
Several of us bagged the animals to keep them nice as they will most likely tumble around in the back of the officers’ cars.

If you want to be involved in your community, call the fire and police departments in your area and find out how you can help! Some of them look for quilts for raffles, etc. to earn money for causes they participate in.

This is a picture of Officer Castle…such a nice person! (See his gun on his right hip?? Whoa!) Oh–when he put the bags down, one of the “dolphins” started chattering/talking…it was hilarious! we all had a good laugh.

Picture of the Lobby of the office at City Hall, downtown Vegas.
Afterwards, we ate lunch at a place called, “Casa Don Juan.” It is one of the best places, in town, to eat Mexican food. They make their own flour and corn tortilla’s! my favorite! You know how you get beans and rice with just about every entree’, but don’t always eat it…well…they have THE BEST beans and rice! You’ll definitely be taking home a box, as you’ll want everything!
Well–it was a rewarding day for us…I gave them my business card to contact me for any other volunteer work.
have a great day and think about how you can help someone, today!

Hi my quilty friends!
I am organizing a project to send quilt blocks to the bushfire victims in Australia. I have an aussy (Wendy Cox), in my yahoo quilting group, who is sewing quilts together for those who have needs, because of the bushfires. So–my yahoo group is sending her blocks to help her out! If you would like to be involved, please respond to this message. We’ll be making the block that you see, below, called Crosses & Losses…it is VERY easy!

November 15, 2008 Block “Crosses and Losses” Pattern.
The blocks will be sewn in the colors of the Australian flag, red, white and blue. What is so wonderful about this block is that when sewn together, it creates a second “hidden” block! no sashing is required. It goes together fast~~~you ought to make two, since it is SO easy!
I have the pattern available on the right (November 15th block). So, if you want to be involved, please respond and I’ll send you the address to mail your blocks! You’ll get to see the progress on Wendy Cox’s Blog, she’ll be posting the blocks as well as the finished quilt! We just started this this week, so it may be a little while before she has them uploaded in the blog!
If you would like to participate, you can send your block to me and I’ll ship with mine. Please, please make a comment to this blog to let me know you are interested. You could win a prize! —let’s see, what should the prize be…hummmm….
Thank you for helping the victims!
