Three samples of the Rikki Bag!
Hi everyone, I’m posting three different samples from women who have made the Rikki Bag from my “Quilted Bags and Totes” book.
Here are two different Rikki Bags, sewn by Lou! She emailed me with a question and I asked her to send me photo’s or her finished projects. She made about 8 of these bags and gave them away as gifts! You go, girl! I especially love the bright colors on the right! Look at the varigated thread, chainstitch pattern and the style of her machine quilting, just stunning! Thank you for sharing, Lou!
I found this version of the Rikki Bag by Katherine, when I received a google alert for my book name. She has it posted on her blog on the right (four friends and a blog). I love how she combined all of the different plaids to achieve the look of this bag. The burgandy piping is the perfect contrast to all of the colors she chose to sew together. I also love the swirly machine design she used to quilt the pieces together. Great job, Katherine!
