Celebrate Freedom!

January 2009 Block of the Month
The block of the month is coming along nicely! January makes our third block. We have so many wonderful blocks posted on my yahoo group! It is so much fun to see all of the fabric choices. My blocks are made from a stack of fat quarters I bought, from Moda that are designed by April Cornell called, “Poetry Favorites” and I just LOVE how they are turning out. I’m posting two of my blocks, this month. The #3 block which is in red/white and blue and the December BOM I made using the Moda prints.

The “half-square triangles” in these two blocks were created using the help of a product called Triangles on a roll or Triangle Paper. These great quilting inventions make sewing these blocks much easier. The half-square triangles, which can be difficult at times, are so much easier and quicker!
