Craft Night Pledge!
I’m a designer member of The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) and I really think they have a great idea—- SEE BELOW:
In honor of National Craft Month, CHA is kicking off a year-round promotion that challenges individuals and families to take the Craft Night Pledge and dedicate one night a week to craft with friends and family. By participating in just one craft per week, it’s easy for fun-seekers to enjoy the great financial and emotional benefits of crafting – including a sense of accomplishment, memory keeping, relaxation, and spending time with friends and family.
This is a promotion for retailers to start in their stores, but what a GREAT idea to start on your own! Ask your local craft store if they are CHA members and have heard of this new promotion!!!
Here is a link and more information on what they are doing! Let’s GET CRAFTING!
And to get you started, I’m offering a BIG BLOW-OUT sale on my 6 booklets for only $10.00! check it out!
Have a happy crafting month!

Artbin does it again!
Well, you don’t have to go anywhere except to Artbin to find what you need to keep all of your sewing and quilting supplies organized! They just came out with some AWESOME new containers that I just can’t keep quiet about! Here are some photos. This item is so NEW that you’ll need to ask about it, here is the item number #6984AB.
I can’t say enough about the above Artbin container. Check out the two layers for storage as well as the two side containers. If you have a project that requires different materials to create it, you now have a safe place to store it ALL! What about the days when you want to take the project with you and work on it…just think about how easy it is to pick up your container and GO!
This container is a DREAM container. It has slots for separating charm packs, paper (or for storing your Artist Trading Card collection!), whatever! or you can remove the slots and use it for a deep container for blocks and fabrics for a quilt! I have mine filled with blocks that my grandmother gave me as well as more fabrics to finish them up! The ideas are endless. Below are some photos with paper and another one with serger spools! This container is so new that you’ll need to ask about it, the item number is #6990AB! Ask about the spool insert, it is separate. otherwise, the above and two below items are the same piece.
Okay—So what about photo storage! or scrapbooking tools! OR those small pieces that could get lost anywhere else! Go to Artbin’s website and check them out!
These containers can also be found at JoAnns. Be sure they say Artbin! They are the best!

On another note, I’m having a BIG BLOW-OUT sale on my booklets!!! I need to sell them to make more room for other things!!! You can buy SIX (6) booklets for only $10.00! That’s wayyyy below wholesale prices! Go to my Website to buy! (I’ll personalize them for you!)
All of the above booklets were in the top 10 book sellers for Darrow Publications! Now they are out of print, but I still have some inventory! Be the next one to buy! Thanks and enjoy!

Look what I found in my storage!
Okay, I have to confess, even though I started sewing when I was just a tiny thing, I didn’t start quilting until later. I loved what my grandmother did and I thought I would give it a try. [disclaimer---this was made prior to rotary cutting tools! Okay, now you can read on!]
When I was a young teenager (13-15) I decided to create my first quilted project, and I have to say that I was so excited to use what I had. I really thought I was being creative and “current” with the trends. Flowers were BIG~~~okay~~~it was in the 70’s, alright already! haha
So~~here is a photo of my FIRST wallhanging, butterfly and ALL! Notice the neon fabric???
I used a black and white fabric for the wallhanging and the binding, and at the time I really thought, “wow, I’m going outside of the box and using some very contemporary fabric….Is this really, Me?” haha
I’m glad I kept it, BECAUSE it was my FIRST!
I’d LOVE to hear about your first quilted project!!! send me a photo and I’ll post to the blog!
thanks, and happy quilting!

Here we go—Another version of the Cottage Tote!
Thank you to Karen for buying my Quilted Bags and Totes book! Karen created a very beautiful tote using her own Snow-dyed fabrics! YES—I said snow-dyed! Click here for instructions! She added her own creativity by changing out the hearts and making them a different shape! AND………here it is!
I just LOVE finding photos of how others create my designs. I love the bright colors that Karen used to create this bag! Learn how to create your own snow-dyed fabrics. Even though I live in VEGAS, Karen said that I can create these fabulous fabrics, too! Just use crushed ice! OR get a snow cone machine!!! I may have to try that!
If you want to buy one of my books, click here! If you want to have it personalized, please let me know!
Join me on Facebook! I have a Page for my FANS!—become one! See you there!
Happy Quilting,

March Block of the Month
Hi Everyone!
I just posted the March BOM in my yahoo group. This is one of my favorite blocks and is so easy to do! If you want to join us, please click here to join my yahoo group, where you can see what others are doing, as well as, post your photos and talk to others about quilting! We have members from all over the world! Here is a photo of the new block. I’ve posted two of our previous blocks in the sidebar to get you started…..
All of the Blocks in the BOM are 12-1/2 unfinished, so after we complete 12 blocks, you’ll have enough to create a nice twin or queen sized quilt. Or if you decide, you may create separate quilted pieces with the blocks. I’ve posted a wallhanging, below, using two of the blocks.
Please enjoy! Happy Quilting!
Denise
