Hi everyone,
I’m getting responses of help from quilters across the nation. Thank you so much! I’m always impressed with how eager quilters are to share what they know to help others! ! Thank you so much!
I want to show you a picture of how stunning the Crosses & Losses block is, especially when sewn together with other matching blocks!

Remember to comment in my blog, and your name will go into a drawing to win….dah, dah, dah, dah…..a set of my Stitchin’ up the Pieces quilt buttons. See a sample here:

The above, is a wallhanging that I designed for the TV show Quilt Central TV. You will have a chance to win one set of buttons similar to the buttons sewn in the blocks above. You may purchase the buttons at The Button Drawer. These buttons are no longer manufacturered, so post to get your chance to win a set!
Thank you, Denise
Hi my quilty friends!
I am organizing a project to send quilt blocks to the bushfire victims in Australia. I have an aussy (Wendy Cox), in my yahoo quilting group, who is sewing quilts together for those who have needs, because of the bushfires. So–my yahoo group is sending her blocks to help her out! If you would like to be involved, please respond to this message. We’ll be making the block that you see, below, called Crosses & Losses…it is VERY easy!

November 15, 2008 Block “Crosses and Losses” Pattern.
The blocks will be sewn in the colors of the Australian flag, red, white and blue. What is so wonderful about this block is that when sewn together, it creates a second “hidden” block! no sashing is required. It goes together fast~~~you ought to make two, since it is SO easy!
I have the pattern available on the right (November 15th block). So, if you want to be involved, please respond and I’ll send you the address to mail your blocks! You’ll get to see the progress on Wendy Cox’s Blog, she’ll be posting the blocks as well as the finished quilt! We just started this this week, so it may be a little while before she has them uploaded in the blog!
If you would like to participate, you can send your block to me and I’ll ship with mine. Please, please make a comment to this blog to let me know you are interested. You could win a prize! —let’s see, what should the prize be…hummmm….
Thank you for helping the victims!
